‘go anywhere’ packaging

Objective - Stone Cellars by Beringer came to packagingarts with a request to help them redesign and reposition their 187ml 4-packs. The goal: to revitalize the package with clear brand messaging and personality unique to this wine category.

Solution - research showed that the wine industry and retail environment were oversaturated with brands that were competing but had no significant point of difference or brand clarity and message. What is more, many were not considering the entire retail environment and how brands can slip into a sea of sameness. The message needed to provide a differentiation for the Stone Cellars by Beringer brand… and impact for the consumer. To achieve this packagingarts employed an updated approach that communicated a ‘newness’ and ‘sophistication,’ and a visual language including the name “Go Anywhere” which communicated immediately the benefits of the new unbreakable bottles.

The resulting redesigned packaging with a bold shape, striking photography and vibrant color, increased the visibility on shelf and allowed the product to break through the shelf plane.
